Denny Hamlin clearly had the dominate car in today’s race at Martinsville. After overcoming two pit road speeding penalties, Denny was forced to go to the back but drove right back to the front, passing now points leader Jimmie Johnson multiple times.

Unfortunately it would all unravel for Denny when his car started facing electrical problems and shutting off. His car repeatedly shut off until it came to a stop on the front stretch bringing out a yellow. The #11 FedEx Toyota Camry was pushed to the garage where the 11 team diagnosed and fixed the problem of a faulty master electrical switch.

The team got Denny back on track, but unfortunately came home with a 33rd place finish putting him 5th in points, 49 back. The team has nothing to lose these next three weeks and plans on going all out for three more wins this year.
