Denny Hamlin focused on Race Trim during his practice Friday and unfortunately it showed during Qualifying.

Denny Qualified: 30th.

After running 28th in practice, Denny unfortunately didn’t pick anything up. Denny should still be in good shape, because they should have a head start ahead of everyone with a killer race set up.

It’s a little odd that the reporter in the beginning asked Denny if “Coach Gibbs had any words of wisdom for him”. Denny must have found it odd too and was a little thrown off by it. I’m sure Denny knows much more about Qualifying a Race Car then Joe Gibbs, or else Joe Gibbs would be driving the car.

Denny should do great on Sunday. Last year at this time, Denny had much better finishes then any other Chase driver including Jimmie Johnson. With the last 3 race finishes being: 2nd, 3rd, and a 1st.
